A.K.M. Ehsanul Haque was brought up and educated in Dhaka. He completed his Master’s degree with honours in Biochemistry from the University of Dhaka (DU) in 1977. The same year, he left for Dubai, UAE, and spent nearly four decades abroad. During his long stay in Dubai, he worked for several multinational insurance companies in various capacities.
He obtained a Fellowship from The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), London, Associateship from The Institute of Risk Management (IRM), London, and Associateship from The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), London. He is a life member of the Insurance Institute of India (III).
He has published nine books on various types of insurance. These books are acclaimed both at home and abroad. Presently, he is engaged in teaching at the University of Dhaka (DU) and training in insurance at the Bangladesh Insurance Professional Development (BIPD) as guest faculty.
