Fahmida Chowdhury

Fahmida Chowdhury is a very distinguished HR professional and established trainer in the HR field. She has completed her Honors and Masters in Management from the University of Dhaka. She has started her career from Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management (BIBM) in 1995. She was the Associate Professor in BIBM and also holds the post of Director there. She serves BIBM for more than 20 years. She has the vast experience on organizing seminar, conference, training & workshops in home and abroad. She has presented number of paper in the seminar and had a good volume of research articles on HR related issues.

At present, she is serving at Dhaka Bank Limited as Executive Vice President and Principal. She is also heading the Research and Development Unit of the bank. Before that, she was in Southeast Bank Limited, to their Research & Training Institute for four years. Along with her present job she is attached with different Universities named BRAC, UIU, ASA, AIUB, State University, BUTEX, Civil Service College (now it is known as BIGM), City College etc. as adjunct faculty. She regularly delivers lecture in different Training Institutes of bank and other organizations. Her areas of expertise are soft skill development, Corporate Governance, HRM, SME financing and negotiation.

During her career, she has the experience of working with INSPIRED project Component-3 of European Union for more than three years. She also Worked in Small and medium Enterprise Sector Development Programme of Ministry of Industries – ADB. Designed several management modules for Ministry of Science and ICT, Bangladesh, Asian Development Bank, UNESCAP.

Fahmida Chowdhury is the Life Fellow of BSHRM and serving the EC with full dedication for last four terms holding different position of Joint Secretary and General Secretary (GS).
